Let me explain my name again. My name is Akira Shimizu in a Western style. Many Japanese people, when introducing themselves to foreigners, convert their names to the Western style and place their surname last, but in Japan, the surname is traditionally written first, so I have decided to introduce myself in the Japanese style as Shimizu Akira.

For example, names on passports and the names of athletes participating in the Olympics and other events used to be written with the surname after the given name, but are now increasingly being written in the traditional Japanese order.
